The Estate
The historic Tenuta Villa D’Arceno is a private estate administered by a consortium to protect historical architecture and the balance of agriculture with environment. The 1000 hectares of vineyards, olive groves, woodland & valleys are home to deer, wild boar, porcupine, hare & heron. The estate and it’s beautiful Tuscan countryside is ideal for those wishing to paint or draw & provides endless possibilities for walking & cycling.
The estate’s centrepiece is a wonderful 18th Century Palazzo built as country home for the Piccolo Clementini family. It is now an exclusive small country house hotel with top quality restaurant open to non-residents. Close to the hotel is a 65 acre ‘romantic park’, landscaped in the 18th Century by Agostino Fantastici, with lake, grottos and temples. Both Hotel and Romantic Park are currently closed for renovation.
The vineyards produce quality red wine for Californian winery Kendall Jackson.
